The Yuma Art Symposium brings visual artists from across the country to Yuma, Arizona for an immersive weekend of lectures, demonstrations, community, and sharing. In addition to a long history of hosting acclaimed artists, the Symposium has been an important place for students to engage with the community in a welcoming and fun setting. The Symposium has been going strong for 41 years; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Yuma Art Symposium has been canceled with the hopes of resuming in 2022. For 2021, we'll be holding an online art auction, so we can all still connect and enjoy art!
The Symposium operates on registration fees, proceeds from the on-site pin auction, and donations. Even though we must cancel the 2021 Symposium, we will continue to incur ongoing expenses that exist even without having an event (ongoing expenses are approximately $25,000). Without the income from registrations and the auction, we won’t be able to offset the ongoing expenses. We hope to raise funds to replace what income we expected to raise at the 2021 Symposium.
Yuma Art Symposium is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization and your contribution may be tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Thank you for your love and support!
